Job Description - Automic (UC4) Administrator

· Installing and managing Unix and Web Automic agents and Automation Engine.
 
· Installing and managing Databases required for AE and Analytics.
 
· Develop Unix shell scripts as required for Automic jobs.
 
· Apply patches and upgrades to Automic engine interface versions.
 
· Upgrade Automic Agents - (ex. Linux, Windows, FTP and etc...), CP and WP.
 
· Create and maintain Automic users across different environments
 
. Specialized in issue fixing like transport, LDAP Sync, License, unknown job failure issues, Agent down issues, etc.
 
. Software Release and Patch Management according the guidelines of Software Provider and customer requirements.
 
. Troubleshoot technical issues associated with Automic UC4 ( Infrastructure ).
 
· Experience in scripting automation areas like Shell, Perl, SQL Scripting, Python, ansible, etc.
 
. Also required 24x7 On call support.
 
· Experience in coordination with Automic Vendor.
 
· Working with multiple applications and stakeholders during P1 Issues.
 
· Experience in extracting Automic forecast report.
 
· Good Understanding of ITIL v3 processes.
 
Additional Skills Preferred: Unix/Linux, Database Administration, ITIL, Project Management.
 
Additional Tools Knowledge (Good to have): Any other Workload Automation tools, Service Management Tools, Helix, Splunk


UC4 Developer + Scheduling + Monitoring  SME 
 
As a Senior SME, you are responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module. You should have good experience in application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks. You should have in-depth knowledge of at least one development technology/ programming language. You should be able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers. You should be able to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team. 
 
.Define, develop, implement Automic 11.2 batch process according the customer monitoring and alarming requirements. 
 
.Develop and propose new batch-flow, time-tables and process to avoid/solve performance and resources problems. 
 
.Redesign of batch processing, go-live support of new releases, transport new jobs from TEST to PROD system 
 
.Modify, add, and delete jobs in Automic scheduling package 
 
.Install and Setup of UC4/Automic Application according the defined guidelines. 
 
.UC4/Automic Customization according the predefined requirements 
 
.Redesign of batch processing, go-live support of new releases, transport new jobs from TEST to PROD system 
 
.Responsible for standards, naming conventions, client concept, alarming concept, scripting, centralized includes. 
 
.Monitoring and problem analysis and management of UC4/Automic batch-jobs. 
 
.Fixing errors related to UC4 processes. 
 
.Reviewing shell, batch and sql scripts on destination servers as part of troubleshooting process. 
 
.Developing new shell, batch and sql scripts as part of resolution. 
 
.Also required 24x7 On call support.
