Job Description :
The Sybase DBA will be responsible for performing production support activities. DB support responsibilities include tuning and performance, monitoring and providing database maintenance, backup and recovery.

- 6+ years of extensive experience in Sybase ASE & Replication server .
- Strong Sybase database administration experience in ASE version 12.5,15.x,16.x and Sybase Replication server version 15.x & 16.x
- Strong experience in Sybase installation, configuration , maintenance on Solaris and Linux platforms
- Strong experience in cross-platform Sybase ASE & Replication Server migration
- Experience in Sybase Warm standby, ADHoc and MSA replication setup and support
- Proficiency with optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in database tuning, to ensure that applications run efficiently and reliably.
- Thorough understanding of software development life cycle.
- Familiar with hardware technologies like VMware, SRDF and SRM used for database HA/DR solutions
- Experience administering a large enterprise database environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Should have ability to work independently.
- Provide 24/7 on call production support on rotation basis
- Knowledge of Oracle/AWS is a plus.
- Proficiency in design, administration, implementation, upgrades, monitoring and database.
- Experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
- Experience with data and batch loading processes.
